Committees

Right now, we are actively seeking participants to represent our cohort on internal Raine Study structural committees.

Vacancy – RSCAC Committee member

The RSCAC consists of cohort members who meet quarterly with the Raine Study team and researchers, providing input into issues raised by staff, researchers and our partners. Members help guide the future direction of the Raine Study and provide input into issues raised by staff, researchers and our partners. To register your interest please email Rainestudy-sph@uwa.edu.au or call Diane Wood on (08) 6488 6952.

Vacancy – various committee positions

We are seeking cohort members from both Gen1 and Gen2 to sit on various committees across the organisation, including our Unincorporated Joint Venture (UJV) Board, Scientific Review Committee (SRC) and Operational Management Committee (OMC). To register your interest please email Rainestudy-sph@uwa.edu.au or call Diane Wood on (08) 6488 6952.

You’re invited to help create a Top Ten Priority List that will be used to guide the Raine Study’s future direction of research. This is a direct initiative of the Raine Study and the Raine Study Community Advisory Committee (RSCAC).

What’s involved?

  1. Complete an anonymous 5-minute online survey to identify themes and topics of interest for future research which you believe are important to all of The Raine Study’s participants.
  2. The option to attend an in-person, consensus* workshop on Saturday 5 October 2024 from 9.30am – 3.30pm, held at the School of Population & Global Health, Clifton Street, Nedlands. Room: Clifton Seminar Rooms 3 and 4. Lunch, tea breaks and parking provided. Map will be supplied via booking email.

Find out how to register in the Participant Information Form.

This is a unique opportunity to leave an enduring impact in shaping the course of this study.

*Consensus workshops use collaborative methods to generate new ideas from a range of individual contributions. Attendees are encouraged to individually explore how each unique idea might contribute to the Raine Study’s future research direction. The process allows each person to contribute fully without the influence of others’ opinion or ideas.

Help us find other lost participants

Do you know other Raine Study participants? We’d like your help to reconnect with people we’ve lost track of. This person might be a work colleague, someone at your local GP or school, or a member of your sporting club.

Where to start? We’ve made it easy with a selection of templates from our Lost Participant Toolkit.

It contains:

  • Social media templates – create a post on your personal social media platform.
  • Email template – email your community group.
  • Posters for print – ask your local library or shopping centre to display on a prominent notice board.
