Today we celebrate International Women’s Day and it is the perfect opportunity to pay our respects to one amazing visionary woman, our namesake – Mary Raine.
A business woman and philanthropist, it was her bequests to the University of Western Australia to create and fund the Raine Medical Research Foundation, who then in turn funded the Raine Study over 30 years ago.
